Umsonst
Unexpectedly, Aziza finds herself back in her room, with her plans for an internship in Portugal abruptly called off. However, she discovers that her room is no longer hers; her mother, Trixi, has rented it out. The new occupant is Zach, a young man in his twenties from New Zealand, who arrived in Germany with no return ticket. From this setup, the film unfolds into a near-documentary depiction of a Kreuzberg ‘scenario’: an abundance of time, people, summer, and streets. Ultimately, it culminates in a collision, leaving the audience to ponder if the film was all ‘for nothing.’
