The Christmas Train

In “The Christmas Train,” jaded journalist Tom Langdon (played by Dermot Mulroney) embarks on a journey from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles, aiming to arrive by Christmas. With no choice but to travel by train, Tom decides to document his cross-country experience. Along the way, he encounters a diverse group of fellow travelers, including famous film producer Max (Danny Glover), Max’s script doctor and mentee Eleanor (Kimberly Williams Paisley), and Agnes (Joan Cusack), who occupies the cabin across from Tom and seems to know more about his life than he does. Although all the passengers are bound for the same endpoint, Tom is unaware that the train ride will lead him on an unexpected path, stirring up his deepest aspirations and dreams, and offering him a chance at love he believed was lost.
