Tyrant

The narrative follows an ordinary American family who become entangled in the complexities of a volatile Middle Eastern country. Bassam “Barry” Al Fayeed, the younger offspring of the nation’s dictator, breaks a 20-year self-imposed exile to revisit his birthplace. He is joined by his American spouse and their children for his nephew’s wedding. Barry’s hesitant return sets the stage for a profound cultural confrontation as he is thrust back into the political and familial dynamics of his past.
