The Real Hustle

“The Real Hustle” is a BBC TV series produced by Objective Productions and penned by Alexis Conran and Paul Wilson. The program showcases a variety of confidence tricks, magic acts, distraction scams, and proposition bets executed on unsuspecting members of the public by Conran and Wilson, along with the “sexy swindler” Jessica-Jane Clement. Starting from the 10th series, titled “New Recruits,” Jazz Lintott and Polly Parsons joined the team of hustlers.

The series often emphasizes that all individuals targeted in the scams are genuinely deceived, and any money they lose is returned to them after filming. According to the BBC’s website, “The marks featured in the show have no idea they are being scammed. They have either been set up by friends and family or believe they are participating in a different TV show.”

After the 11th series concluded, presenter Alexis Conran tweeted that there were “no plans for season 12,” indicating that the show was unlikely to be renewed.
