The Chair

This documentary series chronicles the journey of two novice directors, Shane Dawson and Anna Martemucci, as they each helm a film based on the same original script. “The Chair” captures the entire process, from production and marketing to the theatrical release of both movies. The audience will have the power to vote across multiple platforms to decide which director will win a $250,000 prize.

Shane Dawson, a YouTube sensation with over 10 million subscribers and more than a billion views on his comedy channels, and Anna Martemucci, a writer, actor, and filmmaker known for co-writing, producing, and starring in the indie film “Breakup at a Wedding,” will each bring their unique vision and experience to their projects. They will receive guidance from actor Zachary Quinto and his producing partners Corey Moosa and Neal Dodson, along with the script’s original producer, Josh Shader.
