“Keeping Up Appearances” is a British comedy series crafted by Roy Clarke for the BBC. The show revolves around the life of Hyacinth Bucket, an eccentric and socially ambitious woman who is fixated on impressing the middle class and presenting herself as wealthier than she actually is. Patricia Routledge stars as Hyacinth, earning two BAFTA nominations for her role. The series aired on BBC One from 1990 to 1995, producing five seasons and 44 episodes, including four Christmas specials. It achieved significant popularity in the UK and also attracted a substantial following in the US, Canada, and Australia. The series concluded in 1995 when Routledge decided to pursue other opportunities. Since its debut, all five seasons, along with the Christmas specials, have been released on DVD. In 2004, it was ranked 12th in Britain’s Best Sitcom poll and continues to be broadcast worldwide.
