“Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle” is a spin-off of the British TV show “Geordie Shore,” set in Newcastle upon Tyne. The spin-off was confirmed on February 6, 2016, following cast member Scott’s victory on “Celebrity Big Brother,” with an announcement that he would start filming for the next series of “Geordie Shore” the following day. However, on February 12, 2016, it was revealed that both current and former cast members would reunite for a mini-series to celebrate the show’s five-year anniversary. The series premiered on May 10, 2016, featuring all current cast members and the return of former members Daniel Thomas-Tuck, James Tindale, Jay Gardner, Kyle Christie, Ricci Guarnaccio, and Sophie Kasaei. Notably absent were past cast members Greg Lake, Rebecca Walker, and Vicky Pattison. This series, titled “Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle,” is not considered the thirteenth season. A new twist in this series has Gaz and Charlotte competing as team captains to plan the best nights out. A special episode aired on May 24, 2016, marking the show’s fifth anniversary, featuring the cast’s reactions to previous episodes. The series also includes the show’s 100th episode, which aired on May 31, 2016. On June 1, 2016, it was announced that original cast member Charlotte Crosby had left the show, making this her final series.
