Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior

“Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” was a brief American police procedural drama that aired on CBS. Premiering in 2011, it was a spin-off of the popular “Criminal Minds,” which had first aired in 2005. This new series also featured a profiling team from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit based in Quantico, Virginia. The new team was introduced in an April 2010 episode of “Criminal Minds” during its fifth season, where both teams collaborated to track down a serial killer in San Francisco. This episode acted as a backdoor pilot for the spin-off. Similar to its predecessor, CBS held the North American rights, while ABC managed the international rights. The series debuted on February 16, 2011, occupying the Wednesday 10 pm slot right after the original “Criminal Minds.” However, CBS canceled the show on May 17, 2011, leaving it with a cliffhanger ending. On September 6, 2011, CBS DVD released the entire series as a 4-disc set titled “The DVD Edition,” which includes numerous special features and two episode commentaries with the cast and crew, as well as the backdoor pilot from the original series’ fifth season.
