China, IL

“China, IL,” short for “China, Illinois,” is an animated TV show on Adult Swim, created by Brad Neely. The series features characters from Neely’s previous web series and special, including Frank and Steve Smith, known as “The Professor Brothers,” and Mark “Baby” Cakes. Neely voices all three characters. The show is produced by Williams Street and animated by Titmouse, Inc. It has been renewed for a second season, potentially with a new half-hour format.

On May 25, 2008, Adult Swim aired an 11-minute special called “The Funeral,” which was also available on the now-defunct Super Deluxe website. This special merged Neely’s “Professor Brothers” and “Baby Cakes” web series, creating a broader context for the characters.
