Jill and Joy, both nine years old, enjoy a unique living situation in a house designed just for them, making them perhaps a bit more content than other girls their age. One December evening, a miniature car, no bigger than a shoebox, arrives at their doorstep, carrying the tiny McTiny family. This family has lost their home after it was crushed by a road roller. Seeking temporary shelter, they move in with Jill and Joy, only to discover that not all adults have their best interests at heart. “Jill and Joy’s Winter” is adapted from a cherished book of the same title by Finnish author Marjatta Kurenniemi.
