In “Motivational Growth,” directed by Don Thacker, a reclusive and depressed man named Ian finds himself taking life advice from a talking mold growth in his filthy bathroom after a failed suicide attempt. As the mold’s influence grows, Ian is drawn into a bizarre and surreal journey that challenges his grip on reality and forces him to confront his deepest fears and desires.
