“The Jewish Cardinal” recounts the remarkable true story of Jean-Marie Lustiger, the offspring of Polish-Jewish immigrants, who preserved his Jewish cultural roots even after converting to Catholicism at a young age and entering the priesthood. Rapidly advancing within the Church hierarchy, Lustiger was named Archbishop of Paris by Pope John Paul II, providing him with a unique opportunity to embrace his dual identity as a Catholic Jew.
