Bernie Laplante is going through a tough period. He’s divorced, his ex-wife despises him and has custody of their child, and the police are trying to catch him. To make matters worse, he loses a shoe while saving people from a plane crash. As a struggling thief, Bernie tries to benefit from the situation, but another person ends up taking the glory for the rescue.
