In “Back of the Net,” directed by Louise Alston, a science-loving American teenager named Cory Bailey accidentally ends up at a soccer academy in Australia instead of her planned marine biology semester at sea. Despite her initial reluctance, she embraces the challenge, forming unexpected friendships and discovering her own potential on and off the field.
