“Oskyldigt dömd” is a Swedish drama TV series that debuted in 2008. The first season, consisting of twelve episodes, was filmed in February 2008 and aired in the fall. It premiered on Finland’s FST5 on September 24, 2008, and later that same evening on Sweden’s TV4. The series is produced by Filmlance. On January 23, TV4 revealed that Mikael Persbrandt would star as the main character, and on February 10, they announced additional cast members: Helena af Sandeberg, Sofia Ledarp, Marie Richardson, and Mirja Turestedt. TV4 also disclosed that work on the second season had begun even before the first season aired. The first season’s scripts were penned by Johan Zollitsch, Jan Arnald, Karin Gidfors, and Hans Rosenfeldt, while the second season was written by Thomas Borgström and Sara Heldt. Filming for the second season occurred in the spring of 2009. Although TV4 did not disclose the exact cost of production, they confirmed that it required a significant financial investment.
